The Foundation (PRWF) successfully hosted its PR Student Summit at Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH), uniting aspiring communications professionals, undergraduate students, and senior industry practitioners in a forward-looking dialogue on building sustainable careers in Public Relations and Communications.
The summit is a flagship initiative of PRWF, designed to position Public Relations and Communications as a viable, impactful, and rewarding career path for students across tertiary institutions in Africa and other emerging markets. The programme equips participants with the professional mindset, practical skills, and industry exposure required to navigate and excel in today's competitive communications landscape.
The event featured two distinguished communications professionals as keynote speakers: Joel Krampa, Communication Lead at Africa Prosperity Network, and Eunice Samuel, Senior Communications Analyst at EyeCity Africa. Both speakers drew from their own career trajectories to offer actionable guidance and candid reflections on what it takes to thrive in the industry.
Eunice Samuel underscored the strategic value of volunteering, consistency, and patience as foundational pillars of professional growth. She challenged students to pursue practical experience early in their academic journeys, arguing that proactive engagement beyond the classroom creates meaningful opportunities for learning and career advancement.
